Biography
Dr. Kanchan Khare obtained her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, India. Currently she is working as Professor & Head of Civil Engineering at Symbiosis Institute of Technology. Her area research and specialization includes Experimental Hydraulics Environmental Hydraulics. She is member of Indian Society of Hydraulics, Indian Society of Technical Education, Institution of Engineers India, All India Institute of Town Planers, and Indian Association of Hydrologists. She received training of Project Based Learning from University of Aalborg, Denmark. She also worked as Assistant Professor, Professor & Head Department of Civil Engineering and Vice Principal, Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune, Lecturer at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune, and Estimation Engineer at C.S Associates, Pune. She supervised 3 PhD students. She also delivered number of invited lectures at different institutes. She also associated with 5 research projects as Principal Investigator and Co-investigator. She has published 1 book, 15 research papers in national and international journals, and 41 papers in national and international conferences contributed as author/co-author.
