Dr. Najma Memon is currently working as Associate Professor National Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan. She has completed her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from same University and Post Doctoral Fellow at Wake Forest University, USA. She has published 2 book and book chapters, and 73 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author. She is Editor for Pakistan Journal of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, Associate Editor for Journal Chemical Society of Pakistan, member of editorial board in American Journal of Modern Chromatography, and member of advisory board in Polish Journal of Food and Nutrition Sciences. She is also serving as member of AOAC-International, International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Chemical Society of Pakistan, Asian Analytical Chemist Network, Food Composition Table of Pakistan, Nutrition Section, Ministry of Planning and Development, Government of Pakistan and Associate Secretary of CSP. She has supervised 10 PhD thesis, and 5 M.Phil thesis. Her main area of interest focuses on carbon material from waste for water purification and biodiesel production, preparation and applications of AOT microemulsion based organogel; immobilization of enzymes for degradation of organic pollutants, synthesis, characterization and analytical applications of tailor-made and surface modified polymers (molecularly Imprinted organic polymers and inorganic coordination polymers, developing new LC methods for; analysis of phenolic compounds in food matrices, active ingredients in pharmaceutical formulations, and Analysis and removal of organic contaminants in wastewater, chromatographic techniques coupled to mass spectroscopy/adsorptive removal methods.
