Biography

Dr.Irem Batool is working as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Sahiwal since year 2012. She has completer her PhD in economics from Technical University Braunschweig, Germnay. Before that she has worked about five years in the Monetary policy Department, State Bank of Pakistan-the most prestigious institute of banking, economics and finance in the country. Dr.Batool area of work portfolio is well diversified, as she worked and published on transport economics, monetary sector, international econoomics, macro models and framework forecasting processes, political economy and political business cycles. She also won DAAD German-Pakistani Research Collaboration and working on a joint research project titled " Determinants of Efficient De-Regulation of Transport Markets" with University of Muenster, Germany. The project funding is about approximately 8.5 million, and period period is 2014-2016. She has supervised more than twenty MS Students during their MS dissertation.
