Biography

Dr. Tahseenullah Khan is currently working as Professor at Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has completed his PhD (Geology) from Peshawar University, Pakistan. He is having 34 years working experience. Previously he was appointed as Assistant Geologist at Gemstone Corporation of Pakistan, and Assistant Director at Geological Survey of Pakistan. He is Senior Vice President of the National Geological Society of Pakistan, organized 4th and 5th Geological Congress, International Workshop on Geoinformatics and Workshop on Geological Materials and Aggregates of Pakistan, and Team Member of the Technical Committee for the International Conference on 8th October 2005 Earthquake, organized by GSP, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources 18-19 January 2006 at Islamabad edited the extended abstract volume for the conference. He has supervised 20 MS and BS thesis. He also served as visiting faculty in Earth Sciences Department, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. His area of research interest focuses on Geology (Igneous and Metamorphic petrology, Mineralogy, Gemstone exploration, Geochemistry and Geotectonics) and Community Support Programs. He has more than 162 publications in journals and conference proceedings.
