Biography

I,Muhammad Bilal Khan Niazi was born on 5th March, 1985 in Multan, Pakistan. I finished my high school studies from F.G. Public School Mangla cantt in 2000. In 2007, I received the Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from NFC Institute of Engineering & Fertilizer Research, Faisalabad, the Pakistan. In 2006, I successfully undertook a nationwide Graduate Record Examination test, which resulted in his selection for the overseas “Master leading to PhD” scholarship by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. I did my Master degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Groningen in 2009. I continued my studies there and did PhD research in group “Product Technology” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. A. A. Broekhuis. During last 4 years, hid work was entirely focused on the production of plasticized thermoplastic starch (TPS) by spray drying. I used different types of starches and plasticizers to produce a biodegradable TPS packaging materials via solution spray drying and compression molding. After Successful completion of my PhD studies on 12, April 2013, I joined NUST as Assistant Professor at SCME, Department of Chemical Engineering on 8, May, 2013. So far, i have published 15 journal publication in well known international journals. List significant achievements Won HEC scholarship in 2007 for “Master leading to PhD Studies Graphical abstract of my first publication was selected as cover photo of the international journal "Journal of applied polymer science" Special Issue: Polysaccharides 25 October 2012, Volume 126, Issue S1 Member of Netherlands process technology organization "OnderzoekSchool Process Technologie" Got "first prize for oral talk" in 8th international Conference on Polysaccharides- Glycoscience held in Prague, Czech Republic on 28-30th of November 2012. Got "first prize for poster presentation" in 8th international Conference on Polysaccharides-Glycoscience held in Prague, Czech Republic on 28-30th of November 2012.
