Biography

I have 11 years of teaching and research experiences. I have practical research work experience in field of cell & molecular biology, cancer biology, stem cell biology, epigenetics modulation of breast cancer cells and chemosensitization, toxicology, mechanism of chemical-induced carcinogenesis and pharmacology. I have worked with national and international scientist in many projects. I am working as an ambassador of European Association of Cancer research. I have supervised many M.Phil students who have completed their projects in the field of cancer biology. Currently, 12 M.Phil and 2 Ph.D scholar are working under my direct supervision. The focus of our research is to uncover the molecular mechanism of diethyl nitrosamine (DEN)-induced carcinogenesis in rat model. The involvement of Caspases and Bcl-2 family members as well as the main key regulators of extrinsic and intrinsic apoptosis pathways, are the target sights of our research interest. We are also focusing on the role of cancer stem cells in hepatocarcinogenesis.
