Biography

Dr. Mitra Noori PhD is a Prof. and a full time scientific mission in biology department of Arak University with about 30 years training and research of service in Biology Department. Dr. Noori has over 100 scientific papers and projects either presented or published. She is regionally, nationally and internationally recognized expert in many areas of Biology (Botany, Bio and Ecosystematics, Florestic, Ethnobotany, Medicinal Plant, Chemotaxonomy, Palynology, Environmental Biology & Pollution). She is a full individual Asia-the Pasific Region OWSD member and associate member of some scientific societies. She is also in the editorial and advisory board of regional and international diverse peer-reviewed scientific journals. She holds a BSc in General Biology from Arak University and an MSc from University of Tehran. She completed her MPh in Botany (Plant Taxonomy-Phytochemistry) and PhD in Biology (Plant Taxonomy-Biosystematics) at London University & Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. She has been selected as top researcher in her university and Markazi Province, Iran for 6 times. Her Teaching area in BSc, MSc and PhD courses and thesis supervision are: Plant Biology (Taxonomy, Biosystematics, Palynology, Chemotaxonomy, Morphoanatomy, Environmental plant biology). She is editorial board member of International Journal of Modern Botany, Plant Journal (Science Publishing Group), Journal of Wildlife and Biodiversity and Technical Editor of International Journal of Botany, Research Journal of Medicinal Plant, Asian Journal of Plant Sciences, Research Journal of Botany, Research journal of Environmental Science.
