Biography

Since 2019 Mohammad Taleai has been Professor in Geoinformatics, after 12 years of academic work at K. N. Toosi University. His current research interests are Deep Learning & Artificial Intelligence for Geospatial Applications, Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), Location-Based Social Networks (LBSNs), 3D city modeling, and its application for Smart Cities. He has published over 150 refereed scientific papers and 3 books. Since 2007 he has directed more than 15 research/industry projects. Mohammad Taleai is currently the University Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology, Professor in Geoinformatics, and the Director of the Spatial Decision Making & Smart Cities Lab, at the Department of Geospatial Information Science (GIS), Faculty of Geomatics Engineering, K.
