Biography

Dr. Mohammad Reza Shakibaie earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pune India from 1992 to 1997. He completed one year of postdoctoral research training at Aquatic Microbial Lab in Mysore, India in 2006. Dr. Shakibaie Joined the Department of Microbiology as Assistant Professor at Kerman University of Medical Sciences in 1998. He guided more than 15 M.Sc. theses and 18 projected. His main area of interest related to Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Sciences, and Environmental Sciences. His area of expertise includes Molecular Biology, Bacteriology, Microbiology, Antibiotic Resistance, Gene Transfer in Environment, Bioremediation, Cloning, Sequencing, Real-Time PCR, Gene Mapping, Identification by PCR, Biofilm, Genes, Plasmids, Conjugation, Waste Water Effluents, Prokaryotes, Unicellular Eukaryotes, Uncultivated Bacteria, Quorum Sensing, Hospital Isolates, Transformation, Metals Resistance, Gene Expression, Molecular Quorum Sensing, Biofilm, Pathogenic Organisms, Pathogens, and Biosorption. He has published 28 research articles in journals, 8 abstracts in seminars, and 3 books contributed as author/co-author. He is a member of the following scientific societies such as New York Academy of Science, Science Advisory Board (USA), Asian Pacific Research Foundation for Infectious Diseases (ARFFID), affiliated member of European Society for Microbiologists (FEMS), and member of Iranian Society of Microbiology, and Iranian Biotechnology Society. He is also serving as a member of the editorial board in journals such as the World Academy of Sciences (Waset), the International Journal of Biological and Life Sciences, Journal of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology Review, Current Research Journal of Biological Sciences, and Journal of Bacteriology Research.
