Biography

Mr. Payman Dehghanian is currently working as Research Assistant at Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A&M University College Station, United States of America. He is student of PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University, USA. His research interest related to Smart Electricity Grids and Technologies, Power System Reliability, Asset Management and Maintenance Scheduling in Power Systems, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Power System Protection, Power System Distribution Automation, Renewable Energy and Distributed Generation. He is professional member of Texas A&M University Energy Club Organization, TX., USA., Texas A&M University Smart Electricity Journal Club, ECE Department, TX., USA, Power System Control and Protection Lab., Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A&M University, Organizer, Power System Reliability and DG Lab., Under Supervision of Prof. Mahmud Fotuhi-Firuzabad, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN, Iran Elites National Foundation, Power System Reliability Group, Electrical Engineering Department, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN. Mr. Payman Dehghanian is received number of honors include, Full Member, Sigma Xi scientific research society, Recipient of the IEEE Region 5 Outstanding Individual Award, Recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Reviewer Award, and Recipient of the IEEE IAS Myron Zucker Award. He has also industrial experience and currently he is collaborating to the project entitled “Robust Adaptive Transmission Control”, under the GENI Project, granted by the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) for $4,910,031, Department of Energy (DOE), under supervision of Proferro Mladen Kezunovic. He has published 10 papers in journals and 34 conference papers.
