Dr. Sobhy Ahmed Azab El Sohaimy is currently working as Associate Professor of Food Biochemistry and Head of Department at Arid Land Cultivation and Development Institute, City of Scientific Research and Technology Applications. He has completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Faculty of Biology, Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan, Russia. Previously he was appointed as Research Visit Fellowship at Lincoln University, Cultural and Educational Attached-Director of the Egyptian Cultural Center, Head of Scientific and Educational Mission, Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Kazakhstan, Researcher, Assistant of Chairman of City of Scientific Research and Technology Applications, Research Assistant at Agricultural Research Center, Ministry of Agriculture, Alexandria, Egypt. He is member of international societies such as American Chemical Society (ACS), Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology, International Society for Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods, European Association for Integrating Food Science and Engineering knowledge Into the Food Chain, Academic Society for Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds, Agricultural Biotechnology network in Africa, World Technopolis Association, Functional Food Center, and International Union of Food Science and Technology. He is also acting as editor for Journal of Applied Sciences Research, Associate Editor of Directory of Open Access Journals, Science of Central Asia, and African Journal of Food Science and Technology and reviewer for number of international journals. He also attended number of workshops, conference and symposium. He has 26 publications in journals contributed as author/co-author. He successfully supervised 2 MSc students and currently supervising 3 MSc and 5 PhD students’ projects.
