Biography

Dr. Saad Farouk Mohamed Hussien is currently working as Associate Professor and Head of Plant Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sirte University, Sirte, Libya. He obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from Mansoura High Agriculture Institute, Egypt. He also worked as Demonstrator, Assistant Lecturer, and Assistant Professor at Mansoura University and Senior Lecturer at Nalut, EL-Jabal EL-Gharby University, Libya. He is member of Egyptian Horticulture Society, Mansoura University Journal of Agricultural Sciences, and Social service in my Faculty. His area of research interest focuses on Coping with Environmental Stresses by some Osmoregulators, Plant Growth Substances and Antioxidants, Environmental Stress Physiology, Hydroponics Sand Culture and Plant Growth, The role of Natural Chelating on Alleviating Heavy Metals (Cadmium) Stress, Physiology of Seed Germination, Plant Nutrition with Nutrients, Biostimulants and effective Microbes, Sustainable/integrated Vegetable Diseases in Congenital System by Elicitors and Vitamins, Plant–Animal Interactions, focusing on Chemical Defense Mechanisms in Plants, Morph-anatomical and Physiological responses Plant to Biotic (Plant Pathogens and Pests), and Abiotic (Salinity, Water Stress, Drought, Eave Metals) Stresses. He has 28 articles in journals as author/co-author. He is also serving as member of editorial board and referee in number of journals. He also supervised 4 students thesis.
