Biography

Dr. Elsayed E. Hafez is currently working as Associate Professor of Molecular Plant Pathology, Plant Molecular Pathology Department, Arid Lands Institute, Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications, Alexandria, Egypt. He obtained his Ph. D in Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt in 2003. He also worked as Researcher and Research Assistant at Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technology Applications, Alexandria, Egypt, and Agriculture Research Center (ARC), Giza, Egypt. His teaching and Research interest focuses on Plant Genome Structure & Function, Plant-Microbe Interactions, Plant Biotic & Abiotic Stress, Defense System in Plant & Insects, DNA-Protein & Protein-Protein Interactions, Microbe-Microbe Interactions, and Molecular Genetics of Human Diseases. He is also working on many projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator. He is also serving as editor in number of journals. He is member of many scientific societies such as The New York Academy of Sciences, International Cotton Genome Initiative (ICGI), Agricultural Biotechnology Network in Africa, International Society for Genetic Modified Crops (ISGMC), The Arab Materials Science and Nanotechnology Network, Egyptian Society of Environmental Science, International Brain Research Organization (IBRO Funding), Scientific network Research GATE, Epidemiology and Public Health, National Environmental Science Academy, The Australian Plant Phenomics Facility, World Association of Young Scientists, The Research Cooperative Organization, ,The Human Proteome Organization (HUPO), International Organization of Education Charter , and member of Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
