Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Abd obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Supreme Council of University, Egypt. Since then he has working in the fields of Research/Academia holding the following titles; QC-Specialist, Research Assistant, BAV/BEQ-Specialist, Assistant Researcher, Teaching Assistant, Research Fellow, Pharmacology Screening Unit Board Member, and Researcher. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor King Abdulaziz University KAU, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He also received 8 national and international awards. He is co-inventor in 2 patents. He is co-author in more than 30 publications published in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is also co-supervising more than 10 graduate students in pursuing their M.Sc. /Ph.D. degrees. He is editor board member in 7 journals. His area of research interest focused on Onco-pharmacology, In-Vitro Cancer Modeling and Simulating in-Vivo Solid Tumor Microenvironment, siRNA, Aptamers and Non-Conventional Drug Discovery: special focus on Solid Tumors, Pharmacodynamic-Pharmacokinetic interaction in Solid Tumors Microenvironment, Drug Delivery Systems for Solid Tumor, Optimization and Spatial PK-PD Interaction, Natural Products and their role as Chemomodulors and Enhancers for Conventional Anti Cancer Agent, Special focus on Solid Tumors and MDR Variants. He is also working on 4 research projects as co-investigator. He is member of following scientific societies, American Association of Cancer Research, European Association of Cancer Research, Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology, Korean Society of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, Korean Pharmaceutical Society, Diseases of the Prostate Gland Research Group, Medicinal Plant Research Group, and Translational Medical Research Group. He also gives presentations in more than 30 international conferences.
