Dr. Gabriel Ike Obiefuna is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in Hydrogeochemistry at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi Nigeria. He has experienced in teaching and research especially as it relates to the Solution of Hydrogeological, Engineering Geological and other Environmental Problems. Further to his skills he has good knowledge in Speciation Modeling of Metal Ions in Groundwater and in the Assessment of Groundwater Quality for Domestic, Industrial and Agricultural purposes Employing Hydrogeological Models, and Adept at Assessing the Geological and Geotechnical properties of Gully sites with a view of Finding Solutions to Gully Erosion Problems. He worked briefly with Enyigba Salt Mines Abakaliki Ebonyi State between 1987-1988 and 1991-1994. He supervised a good number of undergraduate student’s research projects and seminars. He also attended conferences and seminars. He is member of scientific societies and association such as Nigerian Mining and Geoscienc Society, Nigerian Association of Hydrogeologists, International Association of Hydrogeologists, New York Academy of Sciences, and American Chemical Society. He has published 34 articles in both national and international journals as author/co-author.
