Biography

Dr. Izeldin Adam Babiker is an Associate Professor of Animal behavior and Nutrition and working as a livestock specialist at the directorate of animal resources, Ministry of Agriculture, Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in the field of animal production. He worked at the Department of Animal Production, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zalingei (1992-2010) until promoted to an Associate Professor. Dr. Babiker has published more than 20 papers in internationally refereed journals and participated in more than 20 international and local conferences. The main research interests of Dr. Babiker is in the area of small and large ruminants nutrition, behavior and environment, fodder trees and shrubs (browsing), and rumen ecology and physiology of digestion, conducting research studies to make maximal use of animal feed resources, improving low quality feeds and supplementation nutrition.
