Bizuayehu Desta is Ph. D. student in a Haramaya University and a lecturer at DebreBerhan University, Department of Horticulture, in Ethiopia. He has one scientific paper published. He is a nationally recognized expert in many areas of horticultural sciences including physiology, post harvest handling of horticultural crops, vegetable crops production, fruit crops production and floriculture and landscape designing. He is a regularly requested lecturer at the majority of major agricultural colleges throughout the country. Bizuayehu Desta is advisor for two MSc students working on horticulture field. Recent publication include a paper on techniques for adaptation of a potato crop for low land areas. Bizuayehu Desta is a college member of agriculture and natural resource sciences at DebreBerhan University in the department of horticulture where he routinely lectures on various topics related to horticulture. He has served as a member of horticulture society of Ethiopia. Bizuayehu Desta has been working on adaptation of four pineapple varieties at Shewarobit (new crop for the area) for the past two years. Bizuayehu Desta holds a BSc and MSc in Plant science and Horticulture, respectively from Haramaya University.
