Dr. Panagiotis T. Nastos is currently working as Professor, and Director at Laboratory of Climatology & Atmospheric Environment Faculty οf Geology and Geo Environment National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He obtained his Ph.D. in Climatology in (1995) from Faculty of Geology, University of Athens. He also worked as Research Fellow, External Professor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at University of Athens. His area of research interest related to Climate Change, Extreme Weather Phenomena, Bioclimatology, Environment and Human Health, and Acid Rain-Air Pollution. He also completed research projects as Project Manager/Senior Researcher in 3 Bilateral Joint Research and Technology Programmes and Researcher in 4 European and 19 National Research Projects. He is also serving as reviewer in 37 international journals and invited speaker at workshops and seminars concerning Climate Variability in the Mediterranean and Impacts of Climatic Change on Human Health. He is member of editorial board in number of international journals. He has published (107) publications in peer review journals, (150) refereed conference publications, (90) refereed extended abstracts, (2) publications in the proceedings of Academy of Athens, (25) publications in edited books, author/co-author of two book chapters. He is member in more than 10 scientific academic societies, among which are the following, Global Network for Environmental Science and Technology (GLOBAL NEST), American Geophysical Union (AGU), European Geosciences Union (EGU), International Society of Biometeorology (ISB), and Climate and Health Commission Part of the International Society of Biometeorology (ISB).
