Dr. Sandra Ann Ingela Wright working as Faculty Position, Research and Teaching in Horticulture and Plant Pathology at Department of Electronics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Gavle, Sweden. Her prior working experience includes Scientific Officer at the Swedish Board of Agriculture, Engaged as an external expert by the Swedish Board of Agriculture, Visting Professor at the Department of Plant and Animal Sciences, at the University of Molise, Italy, Associate Professor at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Goteborg University (GU), Sweden, Researcher at the Plant Pathology and Biocontrol Unit, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and Doctoral Research at Cornell University. Further to her experience includes Teaching Assistant for diffenert courses and also delivered individual lectures in different universities. Dr. Sandra received her PhD degree in 1997 from the Department of Plant Pathology, Cornell University, Ithaca, USA in Molecular Plant Pathology. With a lot of research experience she contributed to more than 20 meetings at national and international level and also organized 6 conferences/ workshops and presented number of abstracts related to her field of research in conferences, worksops and seminars. To her credit 39 publications in various national & international journals of repute, and also submiited 10 articles and 1 patent in reputed journals. She evaluated scientific manuscripts before publication in the more than 5 journals and also evaluated grant applications for the IFS (International Foundation for Science) and for Danida (the Danish equivalent of Swedish “Sida”) on several occasions. She was awarded by many awards and scholarships during her career. She was elected as Vice President of the International Network for Sustainable Plant Production (INSPP) in May 2002. Appointed as President of the INSPP in December 2004, also received many research grants. She served as major supervisor for 11 Hons/MSc/Phd scholars and minor supervisor for 3 Phd scholars.
