Biography

Dr. Hassimi Abu Hasan is currently working as Senior Lecturer at Department of Chemical & Process Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has received his Ph.D. in Water Sciences from same University. His main area of interest focuses on Water and Wastewater Treatment (Biological and physicochemical), Environmental Microbiology (Biosorption and Bioremediation), Optimization of treatment process, and Phytoremediation. His area of expertise includes Ammonia and Manganese, Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment, Biofilms, Aerobic, Anaerobic, Design of experiment, Phytoremediation, Constructed Wetland, Reed Bed System, Aeration, Environmental Microbiology, Biofilter, Biological Aerated Filter, Supporting Media, Biosorption, and Biodegradation. He has published 1 chapter in book, and 22 research articles in national and international journals contributed as author/co-author.
