Biography

Dr. A.B.M. Sharif Hossain holds a position of Associate Professor at Department of Biological Science, Faculty of Sciences, University of Hail, Hail, KSA. He earned his M.Phil and PhD in Plant Biotechnology from Ehime University, Japan. He is having 10 years teaching experience. He also served as Assistant Professor at Plant Biotechnology, Inst, Biological Sciences (ISB), Faculty of Science, and University of Malaya. He successfully supervised 4 PhD, 10 MSc and 30 undergraduate students at University of Malaya, Kuala lumpur. He has completed 11 research projects. He is also serving as external examiner for PhD and MSc Thesis in 5 Universities in Malaysia, India and Bangladesh. He is life member of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Journal, Life Process and Energy Asia, Singapore, Associate Editor of Science Alert, Research Journal of Environmental Science, and Asian Journal of Plant Science, reviewer for African Journal of Biotechnology, life member of Bangladesh Forum of Botanist, Japanese Society of Botanical Technology Management, and member of Japanese Society of Environmental Science. He has published 107 research articles in journals, 10 books, 12 book monograph, 3 book chapters and 52 abstracts and proceeding contributed as author/co-author. His main area of expertise includes Plant Biotechnology, Cell and Plant Tissue Culture, Transgenic Cell and Plant production, T-DNA, Genetic Engineering, Hormone, and renewable Energy.
