Biography

Dr. Pranav Kumar Prabhakar is currently working as Assistant Professor at Lovely Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, LPU, Punjab. He has completed his Biotechnology from IIT Madras. He also served as Research coordinator for the School at LPU. His main area of research interest focuses Elucidate Molecular Mechanism and strategies for Oral Insulin Delivery, Mimic the signaling pathways in Metabolic Disorders (diabetes) with Natural Products. His area of expertise includes Animal Expertise (Handling and Surgery), Animal tissue culture techniques, Oxidative Stress Study, Molecular Biology Techniques, Microbiological Techniques, Biochemical Techniques, and Analytical Techniques. He is member of Royal Society of Chemistry, and Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological& Environmental Engineering Society. He is also serving as reviewer for International Journals such as Biofouling (Taylor & Fransis), Phytomedicine (Elsevier), Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces (Elsevier), Journal of Applied Polymer Science (Wiley), Advances in Pharmacological Sciences (Hindawi), Journal of Microbial &Biochemical Technology (Omics) and member of editorial board in Bioinfo Drug Targets, Journal of Pharmacy and Phytotherapeutics, and Asian Journal of Phytomedicine and Clinical Research. Currently he is supervising 02 PhD students, co-supervising 01 PhD student, and 8 MSc students. Dr. Pranav received honors includes recipient of travel grant towards attending ATTD 2009 in Greece from Indian Institute of Technology Madras & Council for scientific and Industrial research (CSIR) and approved by Department of Science and Technology (DST), and Senior Research Fellow and Junior research Fellow awarded by Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Indian Government, New Delhi. He has published 16 research articles in journals 3 book chapters contributed as author/co-author. He also delivered 9 oral and poster presentations in scientific meeting.
