Biography

Dr. Hari Shankar Asthana is currently working as a Professor in Department of Psychology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (India). He has 22 years teaching and 25 years research experience. He has published more than 50 research papers in various international and national journals, and also published two books. His research works are cited by over 500 different researchers (as per google scholar citation index). Previously he worked with several prestigious organizations in various capacities i.e. as a professor at IGNOU, New Delhi, as an associate professor at Department of Psychology Kumaun University, S.S.J. Campus, Almora, and as a lecturer at Department of Psychology, V.K.S. University, ARA, and Department of Psychology, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. He has guided 5 doctoral students. He is member in editorial board of various research journals i. e. Indian Journal of Psychology and Education, Disabilities and Impairments: an Interdisciplinary Research Journal, and Recent Advances in Psychology.
