Biography

I earned my Doctorate degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with specialization in Plant Virology from the prestigious Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, India in 2018. I am practically trained in serological and molecular detection of plant viruses. I am currently working as Research Associate -III under BBSRC, UK and DBT India funded Newton Bhabha PORI Project on "Genomics- led improvement of biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in mustard rapeseed for economic and environmental sustainability" under the component on extreme virus resistance against Turnip mosaic virus in collaboration with University of Warwick, UK. I have been awarded Young Biotechnologist Award by a professional society in 2019. I have authored more than 25 research papers in leading journals.
