Biography

Dr. Amit Kumar Verma is holding a faculty position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidhyalaya Evam Go Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura, India. He completed his PhD degree from Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidhyalaya Evam GoAnusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU), Mathura, India. He has also received Post Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics from Bioinformatics institute of India; and Postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, India. His research focused on several issues including epidemiology and surveillance of veterinary and other zoonotic pathogen. His main field of work is Foot-and-mouth disease, IBR, Campylobacteriosis, MRSA, brucellosis, IBR, canine parvovirus and mycoplasma in veterinary field. He has as many as 150 review articles, research papers, clinical article, short communications, and lead papers, chapters in manuals, training lectures and abstracts/papers presented in national and international seminars in his credit. He has honor of being editor/ associate editor/member of editorial board of many national and international journal of reputes along with reviewer of more than 10 national and international peer reviewed journals. He has been awarded Best research paper award, best oral presentation award, best review paper award in various seminars and conferences.
