Biography

Dr. Venu Malagavelli, working as a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad, India. Prior to that he was Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and Technology at DILLA Univeristy, Dilla, ETHIOPIA from October 2015 to July 2017, he worked as Professor and Head at Department of Civil Engineering, MRITS, Hyderabad, India from July 2014 to September 2015 and he worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. He has received B. Tech in Civil Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad and both M.E Structural Engineering and Ph.D., from BITS Pilani in 2001, 2004 and 2014 respectively. He published more than 40 refereed research papers which includes 20 journal papers. He also published two monographs on his research work. His research areas includes Development of High Performance Concrete, High Strength Concrete, Geo polymer Concrete, Fiber Reinforced Concrete, Self – Compacting Concrete, Rubberized Concrete, Recycled Aggregate Concrete by using industrial waste materials and supplementary materials. He has guided more than 20 students in both under graduate and post graduate levels. He has received travel grants from DST, India and INAE (CICS), India for attending International Conferences in China and Malaysia respectively. He is life member of IEI, ISTE, IIBE, ICI, IAENG and IACSIT. He is serving as Editorial Board Member / Reviewer for the reputed National and International Journals and Conferences.
