Dr. Mutassim Mohamed Abdelrahman holds a position of Professor at King Saud University, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, Department of Animal Production, Saudi Arabia. He has obtained his BSc in Animal Production from University of Alexandria - Alexandria, Egypt, and MSc and PhD in Animal Nutrition-Ruminants form Washington State University, Pullman, Washington, U.S.A. previously he was appointed as Agriculture Engineer at Younis and Co.LTD, Sudan, Assistant Professor at Jerash University, Jordan, and Professor and Head of Department at Mutah University, Jordan and worked for three years in the Western Sudan Agriculture Research Project (WSARP) at the Kadugli Research Station as a Research Assistant for the Department of Range and Livestock (Nutrition, Breeding, diseases and Range Sciences). Dr. Mutassim received honors includes the best student in the Department of Animal Production from University of Alexandria, and Rockefeller Foundation African Dissertation Internship Award. He area of research interest focuses on establish a solid research and teaching career in the area of animal sciences with emphasizes on the ruminant and non- ruminant nutrition, mineral metabolism and health, and international agriculture and livestock production systems, improve the nutritive value of feedstuffs and animal utilization by using feed additives, Camels’ nutritional requirements and feeding, improve the productivity of camels by covering their nutrient requirements considering the harsh environmental factors. He has published 30 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
