Biography

Mohammadreza Mohammadabadi is the Professor of Animal Genetics and Biotechnology at the Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman (SBUK). He was born in 1974, in Bam, Iran and received his MSc degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Shiraz University, Fars, Iran in 1999 and a Ph.D. degree in Biology (Genetics) from the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics-Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia in 2005. Since then, he has been with the Department of Animal Science at the SBUK, Kerman, Iran. His research interests include Animal Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology. Dr. Mohammadabadi is the author and co-author of more than 350 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. He authored 10 books and translated more than 10 books from foreign languages English and Russian) to Persian. His publications have received more than one thousands of citations leading to an h-index of 19. He has supervised and graduated 5 Ph.D. and 30 MS students. Currently, he serves as the Director-in-Chief of Iranian Journal “Agricultural Biotechnology Journal” (JAB) and also as the editorial board member of Journal of Livestock Science and Technologies (JLST), Iranian Journal of Applied Animal Science
(IJAS) and Agricultural Biotechnology Jouranl (JAB). He also served as the technical and organizational committees of more than 10 conferences. Dr. Mohammadabadi was the chair of three conferences in the field of Agricultural Sciences. He is a recipient of the outstanding researcher award by SBUK in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2018 and earned provincial distinguished research awards in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2016.
