Dr. Hossein Nahrevanian is currently working as Professor & CPL, Department of Parasitology, Pasteur Institute of Iran. He is former Associate professor & CPL, Lecturer & Chief of Parasitology Laboratory (CPL), Chief Technician and Technician of Parasitology, Department of Parasitology, Pasteur Institute of Iran. He has completed his PhD in Clinical Parasitology, School of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and The University of Manchester, UK. His research work includes In vitro: Immuno parasitology, Serology, Cell culture, Tissue preparation, Histopathology, Pharmacology, Immuno flourescence, Colorimetric and Protein analysis assays, RNA & DNA extraction, RNA-transcription, PCR, RT-PCR, RFLP, Sequencing, ELISA, Flow cytometry, Western blotting etc. In vivo: (UK home office license holder for animal working); handling, injection, surgery and measurement of physiological factors, Computing & Statistics: Molecular biology (Proteomics, Genomics), Bioinformatics tools, Statistics software (SPSS, Graph Pad Prism), Photoshop, Animation Software, internet-searching, Web-design, Scientific Web Indexes (Magiran, SID, Iran Doc, Iran Medex, Scirus, ISI, Scopus, Index Copernicus, Bio Med Experts, Google Scholar. He has published 1 book and 76 articles in different Journals. His Gene & Protein Submission to NCBI Gen Bank are 49 in number. He has received many grants and awards due to his tremendous work. He remained Journal referee for 24 Journals. He is member of Korean Society for Parasitology (KSP), Biosafety Society of Iran (BSI), Iranian Society for Immunology & Allergy (ISIA), Iranian Society for Biotechnology (ISB), British Society for Parasitology (BSP) and Iranian Society for Parasitology (ISP). He was Editorial member of 12 National and International Journals.
