Biography

Dr. Abbas Farahan is currently working as Researcher of Molecular Bacteriology and Genetics of microorganisms at Department of Microbiology, University of Ahvaz Jundishapur, University of Medical Sciences, Iran and also doing his PhD in Medical Bacteriology at same university. He completed his MSc in 2013 from Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in Medical Microbiology. His area of work and research experiences includes molecular bacteriology, microbiology, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis, bacterial toxin extraction, flow cytometry, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), cytometric bead array (CBA). He is also Advisory board member/Regional Coordinator of of Journal of Infectious Diseases Letters and Research Committee of Kermanshah. He has published more than 20 articles in international and national peer reviewed journals. He wrote 3 books including: “Medical Microbiology”and “Principles of Electrophoresis and its application to Medical Microbiology” published in 2014 in Persian and “Medical Microbiology with basic laboratory in Persian”. He is also serving in more than 10 journals as Editor/ Reviewer. So far, Mr. Abbas Farahani has handled 6 MSc thesis. Now-a-days he is supervising another 3 MSc students.
