Biography

Dr. Muhammad Kabir was born on 15th July, 1982, in District Chakwal of the Punjab (Pakistan). After matriculation, he had done F.Sc. at the Government Post-graduate College Talagang, B.Sc. from the University of the Punjab and M.Sc. Botany in 2005, from Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Karachi. He also got the professional educational courses (B.Ed. & M.Ed.). On 15th February 2006, he joined the Department of Botany, University of Karachi for M.Phil./Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal. He worked on the “Effects of Industrial Pollution on Tolerance & Distribution of Plants” for his Ph.D. studies which was completed on 6th November, 2014. He also completed Higher Education Commission (HEC) research project No. 20-1073/R&D/07 from 2008-2011.
On 19th June, 2017, he joined University of Sargodha, Sub-Campus Bhakkar (Punjab) as an Assistant Professor (BPS-19) of Botany and on August 29, 2017, appointed as Incharge, Department of Biological Sciences. He is HEC approved Ph.D. Supervisor. He also guided many M. Phil. students and many are still under his supervision.
He has published 39 research papers, 2-book chapters, 1-book and also presented his research work in the international and national reputed journals & magzines, conferences, workshops and seminars and many papers are under process. He received the Research Productivity Award (RPA) in 2011 and 2012 from the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST), Islamabad. He was also awarded Publication Incentive Award-2019 by the University of Sargodha. Primary aim of his research is to clean and green the world especially Pakistan by control of pollution through plantation.
